Paul Martin is the Managing Director at Portable Analytical Solutions Pty Ltd. With a background in electrical engineering and scientific instrumentation, he has specialised in field-based instrumentation with a focus of moving laboratory analysis to the field in a portable format.
Having spent time working in Hong Kong as Head of Sales and Marketing for Spectro Analytical GmbH, Paul then moved to the USA, in the role of Director of Product Management for the Portable Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific LLC. Specialising in product and applications development for the global market for a range of industries from Mining to Environmental, including the testing of lead paint and contaminated ground analysis by PXRF.
In 2009 after returning to Australia Paul with Alex Toy started PAS, with a key focus towards providing field-based solutions using PXRF, NIR, FTIR and Hyperspectral technologies for a variety of industries including mining, government, research and academia, defence, manufacturing and environmental analysis.
