Shane McArdle is the Director, Awareness and International at the Australian Government Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency. Shane joined ASEA in October 2013, not long after it was established and has worked in various positions overseeing communications, media, events, stakeholder engagement and International collaboration. Prior to joining ASEA, Shane worked for over 15 years in media, communications and parliamentary/political roles at federal and local government levels.
Shane is currently undertaking a Master of Public Health to better understand how complex legacy asbestos problems in Australia influence broader health policy development and improve asbestos awareness messaging and management strategies.
